Bitcoin casinos

Bitcoin is still the coin most casino players start with. This page covers what matters when you play with BTC specifically: confirmations, network fees, address types and Lightning.

Bitcoin casinos compared

We have not logged our own Bitcoin test withdrawals yet, so this list follows the overall score. Once tests are in, it will be ordered by payout time, then fee, then minimum deposit.

How a Bitcoin deposit reaches your casino balance

When you send BTC to a casino, the transaction first sits in the mempool, the queue of unconfirmed payments. A miner then includes it in a block. Bitcoin produces a block roughly every ten minutes on average, but the gap between two blocks can be one minute or forty. Most casinos credit your balance after one to three confirmations, so a deposit usually shows up within ten to thirty minutes.

The fee you attach decides how quickly a miner picks your payment. Wallets estimate it for you. On a quiet day a low fee is enough; when the network is busy, a low-fee transaction can wait for hours. If your wallet supports Replace-By-Fee, you can raise the fee of a stuck payment instead of waiting.

Withdrawals: where the time really goes

A withdrawal has two stages. First the casino approves it, which can be instant or can take a manual review, especially on a first withdrawal or a large amount. Only then does the casino broadcast the transaction, and the block timing starts. When you compare casinos, ask how long the approval takes, because the blockchain part is the same everywhere.

Casinos usually charge a fixed BTC withdrawal fee or pass on the network fee. For small amounts this can eat a noticeable share of the payout, so it often makes sense to withdraw less often and in larger amounts.

Address types and common mistakes

Modern wallets give you addresses starting with bc1 (native SegWit or Taproot). Older ones start with 1 or 3. Casinos accept all of them for deposits, but check that the casino can withdraw to the type you give it. Never send Bitcoin to a Bitcoin Cash address or the other way round: the two coins look similar but live on separate chains, and funds sent across are hard or impossible to recover.

Always copy and paste the deposit address and compare the first and last few characters before you send. Clipboard malware that swaps addresses exists.

Lightning: Bitcoin in seconds

The Lightning Network moves Bitcoin off-chain, so payments arrive in seconds and cost a tiny fraction of an on-chain fee. Few of the large casinos support it yet. If you want fast BTC payouts today, the practical alternative is to play in BTC but withdraw in a faster coin such as Litecoin or Solana, if the casino lets you convert.

Which casino to pick for Bitcoin

Every casino below accepts BTC deposits. The ranking follows our overall score until we have logged our own BTC test withdrawals at each casino; from then on, this page orders casinos by measured payout time, then network fee charged, then minimum deposit. If you mainly play dice or crash, look at the fair-odds score first: a lower house edge saves you more over a month than any fee difference.

Keep in mind that a Bitcoin balance moves with the market. A win can shrink if BTC drops before you cash out. Players who want a stable balance often convert to a stablecoin inside the casino, if it offers that.

Questions players ask us

Usually one to three. The casino cashier shows the exact number before you deposit.

It differs per casino and is shown in the cashier. Very small BTC deposits lose a large share to network fees.

Only where the cashier lists Lightning. Sending a Lightning payment to an on-chain address does not work.
